Steps for Making Matcha Cookies

Match cookies take time, so keep some patience because the taste will be worth it.

  1. Before you start baking, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Then take a light-colored pan and heat the butter until the color turns golden yellow. After heating, pour it into a heat-proof bowl and keep it aside.

  3. Now, take a medium-sized bowl and combine all the dry ingredients, including flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder. Make sure to griddle the matcha powder to avoid clumping.

  4. Next, take brown butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl and add vanilla extract and eggs to it.

  5. Whisk the ingredients for about 1 minute to get a light and creamy texture.

  6. Finally, mix all the wet and dry ingredients and stir until a green dough and add white chocolate chips to the dough

  7. Leave the dough as it is at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the liquid to rehydrate the dough

  8. Now, you can use the ice cream scoop to scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheets.

  9. Put the tray in the oven and bake for around 9-11 minutes until the bottoms turn into light brown color. After this, take them out and keep them away for about 10 minutes before putting them onto a cooling rack.

  10. Cool the cookies for another 15 minutes and let them settle into their shape.
