Steps for Making Matcha Cookies
Remember:
Match cookies take time, so keep some patience because the taste will be worth it.
-
Before you start baking, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
-
Then take a light-colored pan and heat the butter until the color turns golden yellow. After heating, pour it into a heat-proof bowl and keep it aside.
-
Now, take a medium-sized bowl and combine all the dry ingredients, including flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder. Make sure to griddle the matcha powder to avoid clumping.
-
Next, take brown butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl and add vanilla extract and eggs to it.
-
Whisk the ingredients for about 1 minute to get a light and creamy texture.
-
Finally, mix all the wet and dry ingredients and stir until a green dough and add white chocolate chips to the dough
-
Leave the dough as it is at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the liquid to rehydrate the dough
-
Now, you can use the ice cream scoop to scoop the cookie dough onto the baking sheets.
-
Put the tray in the oven and bake for around 9-11 minutes until the bottoms turn into light brown color. After this, take them out and keep them away for about 10 minutes before putting them onto a cooling rack.
-
Cool the cookies for another 15 minutes and let them settle into their shape.
