Within a person, there is a mountain.

At the heart of the AKI MATCHA symbol is the shape of 人, the Japanese character for “person.” It exists within a form that also evokes a mountain, the landscape where tea is nurtured by soil, water, mist, sunlight, and time.
AKI MATCHAのシンボルの中心には、
「人」を思わせるかたちがあります。
その「人」を包むのは、山を想起させる大きな輪郭。
土、水、霧、光、そして長い年月によって茶が育まれる、日本の自然を表しています。
We believe that people are not separate from nature. We are part of it.
The mountains nurture the tea.
Tea farmers care for the leaves.
Tea makers preserve generations of knowledge.
And the person who prepares a bowl gives that tradition new life.
私たちは、人と自然は別々の存在ではなく、
互いに支え合いながら生きるひとつの循環だと考えています。
山が茶を育み、
茶農家がその葉を守り、
茶師が受け継がれてきた技を注ぎ、
一碗の抹茶を点てる人が、その物語を次の時代へつないでいく。
For us, matcha is more than a product. It is a language.
A language that connects farmer and tea drinker, tradition and modern life, Japan and the world, one person and another. Through matcha, we hope to create moments of understanding, curiosity, respect, and genuine human connection.
AKI MATCHAにとって、抹茶は単なる商品ではありません。
抹茶は、人と人をつなぐひとつの「言葉」です。
生産者と飲み手を。
伝統と現代の暮らしを。
日本と世界を。
そして、一人の人と、もう一人の人を。
抹茶を通して、互いを知り、文化を尊重し、心を通わせる。

Every Matcha Has Its Place
すべての抹茶には、ふさわしい場所がある。
We do not believe that one single matcha can be considered the best for every person and every purpose.
Some matcha is delicate, smooth, and rich in umami—beautiful when prepared simply with water. Other matcha has a stronger aroma, deeper bitterness, or more powerful character, making it especially well suited for lattes, desserts, culinary creations, or professional food and beverage applications.
私たちは、すべての人、すべての用途に対して、
ひとつの抹茶だけが「最高」であるとは考えていません。
繊細で、なめらかで、旨味に満ちた抹茶は、
水だけでシンプルに味わうことで、その魅力が最も美しく表れます。
一方で、香りが力強く、苦味やコクを持つ抹茶は、
ラテ、菓子、料理、フードサービスなどの中で、
より鮮明な個性を発揮することがあります。
There is no matcha without value. There is only matcha that has not yet found the right purpose, preparation, or person.
Our role is not simply to rank matcha from good to bad. Our role is to understand its origin, cultivar, aroma, texture, color, strength, and intended use—and to help each matcha find the place where it can be appreciated at its best.
価値のない抹茶はありません。
まだ、その抹茶にふさわしい使い方、点て方、
そして出会うべき人が見つかっていないだけです。
AKI MATCHAの役割は、抹茶を単純に「良い」「悪い」で分けることではありません。
産地、品種、香り、口当たり、色、力強さ、用途を理解し、
それぞれの抹茶が最も輝ける場所へ届けることです。
